Reliably Protecting Your Watch
There is a real need for quality handmade watch straps. Either cheap rubbish or absurdly expensive originals, I am firmly in the middle, offering excellent value for the exquisite quality.
They have to be reliable, after all they hold often expensive time pieces to your body protecting your watch from loss and damage. They are also under constant stress from daily use and the corrosive effects of contact to your skin and perspiration.
Carefully handcrafted, dyed and hand stitched; watch bands are generally made to order. Although I intend to have a selection available for sale online.
For durability, I tend to chose Spanish tanned calf skin which is subsequently hand stitched, but they are also limited availablity in exotic skins like lizard or crocodile.
The Process
1. Measuring
2. Choice of materials; leather, metal hardware, shape and colours.
3. Completion of watch band.
I hand dye to specification obtaining a rich range of colours. You have the option to choose the style, elegant thin or rustic and thicker.
Additional options include: the colour of the stitching, the shape of the strap - either straight or tapered, and the type of buckle. The buckle choice ranges from something rather standard, to reusing an original buckle, to a more extravagant handmade bespoke silver buckle.

Some questions, some answers
Like so many artists or craftsmen my inspiration comes from nature, my life, the place I live, the people I meet and the trips I take.
Necessity is also a great driver to be creative. If I were not creative I would have to close my business. This is a powerful incentive to create and innovate.
As I make so many products with very different techniques, it is difficult to give an accurate guide to prices, but I will give you a few guidelines so that you can get a rough idea.
Belts would start around 120 euros for classic simple models and could go over a 1000 euros for the more fancy labour intensive designs. Small bags and clutches would probably start around 300 euros and could go to around a 1000 depending on the type of leather and labour intensity. Bigger bags would be made to measure only and tend to cost around 2000 euros or more. Sandals are only made to measure and start at around 300 euros.
